Meadows of Clover

Everyday I ride my pale blue beach cruiser to school. It's about a 3 minute ride, and every time my feet hit those pedals and my wheels begin to rotate on the gravel road,a familiar primary song comes to my mind. The same song. Almost every time. That song is called "I Often Go Walking" and is a song I learned in primary as a young girl. This is my miracle for today. The miracle of the power of uplifting music and the magic it works in our lives because as I ride to and from school my mind isn't bogged down with the stresses of my day, but is uplifted by the inspiration of the poetry of the song.

I often go walking in meadows of clover,
And I gather armfuls of blossoms of blue.
I gather the blossoms the whole meadow over,
Dear Mother, all flowers remind me of you.
Oh Mother, I give you my love with each flower.
To give forth sweet fragrance a while lifetime through.

For if I love blossoms and meadows and walking,
I learn how to love them, dear Mother, from you.

No Wonder they Call it Labor Day...

Why is there always so much to do? Even on a holiday I find myself stressing over all the things I need to get done before the day is over.
Wash my laundry,
Wash some more laundry,
Put the laundry away.
Take the extra bed out of my room.
Learn about Eminent Domain.
Finish 11 more pages of my 15 page research paper.
Start and finish my history paper.
Clean my truck,
Run some errands.
Watch 2 full movies for class.
Try and have some fun...
Say goodbye to a friend.

And I'm not even a Mom yet.
Maybe I should get off my blog.
No wonder they call it Labor Day.

Sweet Hour of Prayer

"Sweet hour of prayer, Sweet hour of prayer

Thy wings shall my petition bear

To him whose truth and faithfulness

Engage the waiting soul to bless.

And since he bids me seek his face,

Beleive his word, and trust his greace,

I'll cast on him my ev'ry care

And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.

I'll cast on him my ev'ry care

And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer."
